Welcome to the Month of June, and Youth Month!

For Youth Month, we have decided to profile various young and upcoming trailblazers who are making an impact in the Free State and beyond! By doing this we hope to celebrate our young people who continue to raise the bar and also hope to inspire many others in the pursuit of their wildest dreams.

We kickstart this edition with a young man from QwaQwa in the Free State…

Hometown: Phuthaditjhaba, Qwa-qwa

Title: Associate Attorney at Tim Sukazi Inc.

What makes you an upcoming trailblazer: I am young motivated man, driven by passion in everything I do. I want to inspire young people to look beyond their circumstances and never shy away from chasing all of their goals. I love law and football, and have worked very hard to make a career of the two by my practice being mainly focused on sport law, while always doing corporate and commercial law as well. I want to show people that we don’t have to limit ourselves in any way when it comes to doing what we love versus what we are qualified for.

How would you encourage today’s youth?: We need to take advantage of the direction the country is taking insofar as its focus is on the black child, the education of the black child and the financial emancipation of our people. Amidst the everyday struggle, if we don’t stop working hard, your days will also come where you better yourself, your life and your family. We need to inspire confidence in each other by what we do, and if anything, build with each other, share with other opportunities as they present themselves, and apply our full working potential to everything we do.

How are you spending youth day 2018?: I don’t get to see my family a lot because of work, I’m most probably going to spend it with them in Phuthaditjhaba, Qwa-qwa, and also take that opportunity to speak to the young people of my hometown about life after university as I see it.
