HELPMYWORLD EDITOR, MARKETER & STRATEGIST
Keitumetse (Keitu) is not just a mother to her son, rather an editor, marketer, and strategist that grew up in Mmabatho, Bophuthatswana, a homeland that has since fully integrated into post-apartheid South Africa. Her writing blossomed in that confusing political era for a child. Anxious, she often penned what she was afraid, shy, or hesitant to speak about.
She is a creative that enjoys any work that allows her to display her skills, as s a student, she matriculated in 1999 at St Mary’s Diocesan School for Girls in Pretoria, and she went on to complete some other qualifications including a course in marketing, UNISA, and A-Z of Strategic Brand Management from Vega. She has also attended many workshops that have broadened her understanding of Digital marketing as well as Pan African audiences.
As an experienced marketer Keitu has worked with varying resources and across many target markets, using both traditional marketing and communication methods, as well as social and digital mediums. A large part of her experience has been in the ICT sector (well over 10 years) having worked as part of the marketing teams in Vodacom and Telkom. In her personal capacity she has ventured out as a service provider for educational nonprofit organizations like UL Trust.
As a Writer / Editor, Keitu has a genuine love for words. “I believe I am a self-taught writing specialist, although I have had some help…” She was mentored by the late Pat Hopkins – a wonderful and reputable South African Author. Her writing and editing career is underway having been published in the US journal Threaded Masquerade, more so having edited “The Eagles Martial” by Sophia Tao. A book that secured 3rd place at the Sol Plaatjie Dinnane Awards 2019 (Jacana Media; Exclusive Books and University of Johannesburg).
Going forward she will have an integral part to play HELPMYWORLD’S strategic offerings and growth.
