Kamogelo Seekoei is a journalist who became a media entrepreneur, she is the founder and editor of Ignited Woman magazine, which is published by Kanna Media Productions, and she is the CEO. She was born in a small town just outside of Bloemfontein, Thaba Nchu in the Free State, and as a young girl she recognized her love for books and ended up being part of the school’s newspaper. She studied at the University of the Free State and did her postgraduate from Rhodes University.
Kamo is one of our board members since 2017, she has worked for several major newspapers, including Sowetan, Mail & Guardian, Free State Times, and The New Age. She has emerged as a pioneering media tech with a niche interest in females. Her digital publication is a new major voice for women in business and a resource that provides her readers with strategic business content and an insightful profile of industry leaders. She is doing exactly what she always wanted to do, which she says is the greatest achievement and blessing in her life. Her greatest achievements were born from her relentless pursuit of her dreams.
She is an award-winning communications specialist with experience in journalism, media, television, corporate communication, newspapers and magazines. Her 14 years in the media industry helped to gather the expertise to co-found the Free State Media Awards by establishing the Free State Press Forum in 2016. Her company, Kana Media Productions, also co-sponsored the 2017 Top 50 Free State Game Changer. Kamo has many years of experience within her Industry and she recently published her book in December 2021 titled “A Murder Concealed”, while at The New Age she came across the spine chilling story of the Mpedi children.
