Prior to the event we had been running a campaign where #BloemGirlsRock supporters were asked to donate tickets to the event for our younger girls to attend the event and witness the women who grew up in their environment be celebrated for the amazing work they continue to do in an attempt to motivate and inspire them to keep chasing after their dreams relentlessly. It’s so easy to tell someone about the great things being accomplished in the world but something different to actually put them in a setting where they can see that there is work being put in and recognition for that work. Our core goal has been to get the girls out of their everyday environments and introduce them to a world of endless possibilities.
Once again a big thank you to each and everyone who donated tickets so that our girls could experience this wonderful occasion and Congratulations to our Biggest Cheerleader, Mags Shivanda who was awarded by the Free State Premier herself, Mme Sisi Ntombela for the “Sefora Ntombela Women Empowerment Award”.
