Gird your loins, arm all doors and cross check because the annual prestigious fashion and lifestyle event, Free State Fashion Week (FSFW) has announced its call for entries, searching for the Face of Free State Fashion Week (FOFSFW) 2019 ambassador.

As part of FSFW’s outreach program, the Face of FSFW is aimed at mentoring and celebrating young South African Women; in their diversity, to encourage the fundamentals of building relationships with other women who are working diligently to leave a positive impact in their communities, to advocate for humanitarian issues such as access to education and basic needs in Free State. The ambassador is to be the voice of the voiceless and project a positive image of Free State and South Africa as a whole. The pageant is also aimed at instilling self-belief, women empowerment and career growth.

In 2018, Lungile Mazibuko was crowned Face of Free State Fashion Week, where she took the big responsibility to advocate for change in her community and the rest of South Africa. In her tenure, she’s embarked on an education drive and sanitary pads drive while completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences at the University of Free State. On the 1st of June 2019, Lungile was crowned Miss Free State, a title which will see her represent the province in the Miss South Africa beauty pageant.

The annual Face of Free State Fashion will take place on the 24th September 2019 at the Sun Wind Mill, Bloemfontein. For entries please visit www.freestatefashionweek.co.za or email designersearch@freestatefashionweek.co.za before 13th July.
