Mags Shivanda was named one of the Top 50 Free State Game Changers of 2017 by the Free State Provincial Legislature and a book was then published and distributed to all public schools, libraries, and public institutions across the Free State.
Mags is also a speaker and in most of her talks she does mention how she believes that each and every girl and boy no matter their circumstances deserve a future to look forward to and need to hear and see inspiring stories about women and men from similar situations who stood against all odds to achieve greatness. In turn these young boys and girls will realize that all their dreams are valid, and they too can and will be anything they dream of.
Bolawana Mags Shivanda is the founder and managing director of Bloem Girls/Guys Rock Foundation, she is also the CEO of DigitalShero Media Group a female owned digital marketing company which under BGR Foundation was founded.
Mags was born in Thaba Nchu a small town just outside Bloemfontein, she later moved to Bloemfontein to stay with her mother at the age of four. Having come from humble beginnings herself, Mags has always aspired to be an inspiration to many of a similar background as her by instilling hope for a better future and that is one of the many reasons she gave life to the foundation.
